The social and cultural history of Latin America, particularly the Andean region. Her recent work is on death and religious conversion in the Andes. She is a member of the World History and Early Modern History subject groups.

Lectures on the history of Latin America in Part I, Paper 21 (Expansion of Europe), Part II, Paper 27 (The History of Latin America 1500-to the present). Supervises on the history of colonial and modern Latin America, the Spanish Empire, and the expansion of Christianity.
